Why this reform was agreed
Processors face both high tariffs and unreliable supply. Grid demand is expected to rise as agro-processing expands, and the Forum asked that the investment pipeline keep ahead of it.
Ongoing and planned interventions
New hydropower plants at Agago, Oriang and Kiba are under development, and nuclear generation at Buyende is being explored, to meet grid demand.
