Why this reform was agreed
Agencies operate in silos leading to missed opportunities in trade and investment due to duplication, inconsistent messaging and lack of strategy.
Ongoing and planned interventions
Under the Development Plan Implementation (DPI) Programme of NDP IV, OPM and MoFPED prioritised strengthening oversight, coordination and M&E across government. The coordination role of the Office of the Prime Minister is to be strengthened so that all MDAs focus on delivery of common programme results, the 'silo' working modality is reduced and synergies are enhanced.
