Why this reform was agreed
District processes are uneven and local governments lack ICT systems and trained personnel.
Ongoing and planned interventions
The Integrated Revenue Administration System (IRAS) has been scaled to nearly all districts, improving revenue collection and administration. All local governments are mandated to use Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP), promoting transparency, accountability and value for money. NITA-U is integrating local government licensing systems into the UGHub platform for seamless data sharing.
